| Cynical Christmas- an oxymoron right?
Yeah christmas sucks sometimes for me. i get so excited for it and then I realize that we are commemorating the birth of a child born out of wedlock (who happened to be a damn good, smart person) to two people who probably had sex and covered it up with the whole angel story. Plus it's in a whole different season than this kids birthday so that companies have a time to make some money.
Oh well, thoughts?

| So I have a few minor phobias, but what really scares the shit out of me is the future. I am scared shitless that I'm going to be alone, or at least with few friends. I don't want to be like my parents who don't really have that many friends. I'm also scared about my future happiness. I just can't see myself being happy in the future. And college, don't get me started...money...where to go...what to become....it sucks...

| Most of this month is great (some not so) so I'm sharing my joy:
Tomorrow March 3 and March 4 -Chess tournament in Carlisle with Reinford.
Monday March 5- Tennis practice starts
Thursday March 7- I get my braces off Yay!
Saturday March 10- I take the SAT
Friday March 15- the Ides of March, go everywhere (or at least school) in a bedsheet toga.
As I forgot (and Nick reminded me) March 17th (probably the most important of these dates is the fourth anniversary of the beginning of the war in Iraq and the date of a HUGE peace rally (or is it just anti- this-war?)
Wednesday March 21- First day of spring, also first day Rita's is open and free ice is served.
Saturday March 31- Quiz Bowl tournament at Hempfield

| Last Thursday: Chess wins Leagues in a buzzer-beater
Last Friday: Among other things, I go shopping with my sister for my birthday present. (I got an iPod case)
Last Saturday: My Birthday (17), went to see The Mousetrap, got a haircut
Sunday: Went to church, humiliated myself with a quasi-rap, got another haircut
Monday: Quiz Bowl comes out of nowhere to win Leagues (Nerd Sweep!)
Tuesday: Early Dismissal, get nothing done after school
Today: NO SCHOOL!!!! Slept 'til 11:30, Froze my butt off sledding, am finishing up Adv. Reading paper for Fri.
Tomorrow: Who Know's?
